Sports legend Sunil Gavaskar discuss their reasons for asking for Dhoni’s autograph on a sports channel.

“Legend #SunilGavaskar reveals why Thala Dhoni’s signature will remain valuable. The Little Master recalls two of #TeamIndia’s most memorable incidents starring @msdhoni and @therealkapildev, which he will treasure always,” a sports channel tweeted.

“He’ll get the chance to play here if CSK advances to the playoffs. However, I chose to cherish that time. I was lucky enough to find a marker pen in the camera unit. Therefore, I also appreciate that person,” Gavaskar continued.

Emotional moment for Gavaskar

“The 73-year-old Gavaskar praised Dhoni for his gesture and praised the CSK captain for leaving a lasting legacy in Indian cricket. Consequently, I went to Mahi and asked him to sign an autograph for me on the shirt I was wearing. He acknowledged it in such a sweet way. It was a very emotional experience for me because this man has contributed so much to Indian cricket,” he said.

Gavaskar, who was visibly moved, also shared his two favorite cricketing memories that he will always treasure. The former India captain stated, “The two cricketing moments I would love to see before I die are Kapil Dev lifting the 1983 World Cup Trophy and MS Dhoni hitting that winning six in the 2011 World Cup final.”
