Madhya Pradesh Elections: BJP Fields MPs and Union Ministers


The Congress has accused the BJP of showing fear of the Congress by presenting seven MPs, including three Union Ministers, as candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly election. Randeep Surjewala, head of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Madhya Pradesh, claimed that the BJP’s fear of the Congress led them to panic. The BJP’s anxiety, according to Surjewala, originated from the public personas of Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Kamal Nath, and the head of the Madhya Pradesh Congress. He also claimed that the BJP Core authority knew the territory’s management was causing Madhya Pradesh to collapse.

The Congress asserted on Tuesday that the BJP’s surprise announcement of Union Ministers and MPs as candidates for the forthcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly election demonstrated a “lack of trust” in Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Randeep Surjewala, head of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Madhya Pradesh, claimed in a statement on X that the BJP showed how “terrified” it was of the Congress by presenting seven MPs, including the three Union Ministers.

Also, The three Union Ministers are: Faggan Singh Kulaste, Prahlad Singh Patel, and Narendra Singh Tomar. The second list also includes Kailash Vijayvargiya, national general secretary of the BJP.

The remaining four parliamentarians in the contest of the Madhya Pradesh state election- Ganesh Singh, a four-term MP from the Satna seat, who will run from his current constituency; Riti Pathak, a two-term incumbent from the Sidhi seat; Rakesh Singh, a four-term MP from Jabalpur; and Uday Pratap Singh, a three-term MP from the Hoshangabad seat, who will run from the Gadarwara seat in the Narsinghpur district.

Randeep Surjewala additionally stated

The personas of Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Kamal Nath, and the Madhya Pradesh Congress chief, as well as the “outrage of the courageous people” of the State, according to Mr. Surjewala, have led the BJP to panic. He continued, “It is apparent how the dread of Congress drives the BJP.”

The BJP brought Madhya Pradesh to “the brink of failure”

The BJP Core authority allegedly knew that the territory’s management was driving Madhya Pradesh to “the verge of collapse,” according to the AICC general secretary. “For this reason, Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi ji both disassociated themselves from Shivraj ji’s name and work 15 days ago,” Mr. Surjewala said.

“They are aware that their ship will sink, and that’s why they are seeking to bring down the others as well,” the Congress leader said, referring to Mr. Chouhan and his colleague, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
