Communal Violence Leaves 5 Dead in Haryana

Prohibitory orders banning public gatherings took effect in the districts of Nuh and Gurugram as unrest spread throughout the state. Additionally, until Wednesday, mobile internet services remained halted in Nuh and Faridabad. The police issue a caution against publishing offensive content on social media.

In Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram, 144 is in effect

The Haryana government announced on Tuesday that at least 13 paramilitary companies arrived in the Nuh district, and six more companies will follow soon. “All the neighborhoods around Nuh are similarly experiencing a normal situation. Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram adopted Section 144 as a preventative measure.”

Some areas of Palwal and Gurugram additionally reported instances of pelting stones and arson. Concerning the communal violence, police have taken several people into custody and registered about 20 cases.
