We will win 150 seats in MP: Rahul Gandhi

After winning 136 seats in Karnataka, Gandhi said, “We just had a detailed gathering, and our internal evaluation suggests that we are now anticipated to secure 150 seats in MP.”

Gandhi declined to directly address the question of the Congress party’s CM candidate for MP in a video shared by ANI, instead focusing on the party’s objective of winning 150 seats.

In the short-lived Congress administration in the state from 2018 to 2020, Kamal Nath, who held the position of state chief minister, said, “We addressed the campaign plan and topics on which the Congress ought to run in these elections. All of us agree that we will all participate in the polling process.”

Get ready for the upcoming elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

Along with Rahul Gandhi, party leader Mallikarjun Kharge met with Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh, and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal to discuss the upcoming assembly election in the state.

The chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, and his former deputy, Sachin Pilot, were among the Rajasthan Congress leaders who planned to meet in Delhi, according to the news agency PTI.

By the end of the year, elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, respectively. Currently, Ashok Gehlot is the leader of the Congress party in Rajasthan, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the chief minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh.

For Madhya Pradesh, Congress has made commitments

The following “five promises” were made by Congress to the people of Madhya Pradesh last week in advance of the assembly election:

1. A 500 rupee Gas cylinder.
2. Each woman receives Rs.1500 per month.
3. 200 units are halved, and 100 units of electricity are free.
4. Forgoing farm loan.
5. Implementation of the previous pension plan.

Kamal Nath, the president of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, is expected to run as the party’s candidate for chief minister in the upcoming 2023 assembly election, according to Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh.

After the year, the assembly elections are anticipated. The Congress won the most votes in the 2018 elections, winning the majority, and Nath led the party in forming the government. However, Nath was compelled to step down in 2020 after his government was reduced to a minority as a result of the resignation of 23 Congress MLAs who had pledged allegiance to Jyotiraditya Scindia. Shivraj Singh Chouhan later led the BJP to form the government.
