PM Modi Meets Nepal Counterpart Pushpa Dahal For Bilateral Talks

PM Modi and Nepalese counterpart Dahan held a bilateral talk

On Thursday, bilateral discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Dahal, aka Prachanda, at Hyderabad House.

Discussions about the entire spectrum of the complicated connection between India and Nepal will be possible during the meeting of the two prime ministers.

Ministry of External Affairs Official’s Tweet

“Strengthening the ties between collaboration and relationships. When Nepalese Prime Minister Prachanda arrived at Hyderabad House for bilateral talks, Prime Minister @narendramodi welcomed him,” Ministry of External Affairs Official Arindam Bagchi tweeted.

Dahal visited Raj Ghat earlier

The wreath was presented at Raj Ghat in New Delhi earlier in the day by Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as “Prachanda.” He also left a note in Raj Ghat’s visitor’s book.

The Ministry of External Affairs official Arindam Bagchi tweeted, “PM @cmprachanda of Nepal gave profound respect to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat.”

Nepal’s PM welcomed by a Union Minister

Wednesday saw the arrival in New Delhi of Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda. Meenakashi Lekhi, a minister for the Union, welcomed him warmly when he arrived.

Arindam Bagchi, the chief of staff for the Ministry of External Affairs, tweeted about his arrival: “Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal shows up in Delhi, attains an enthusiastic reception from MoS Lekhi, PM @cmprachanda of Nepal showed up in New Delhi on his first global travel since taking office. He was greeted at the airport with warmth by MoS @M_Lekhi. The visit will give the close and special relationship between India and Nepal new life.”

Nepal’s Prime Minister met Ajit Doval earlier

On his first abroad trip since taking power, Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal connected with NSA Ajit Doval on Wednesday.

He will travel to Ujjain and Indore in addition to his official engagements.

President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will receive calls from Nepal’s Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, over his visit.

Nepal’s Ambassador to India: “Goodwill Visit”

The visit by Pushpa Kamal Dahal to India, according to Nepal’s diplomat to India Shankar P. Sharma, is a “goodwill visit” that “is going to elevate Nepal and Indian ties to an enhanced height.”

Both parties intend to capitalize on the achievements made by India and Nepal in their diplomatic relationship during earlier high-level visits [Prime Minister Deuba to New Delhi in April 2022 and Prime Minister Modi to Lumbini in May 2022] during this trip.
