Wagh Bakri Tea Group Executive Director Parag Desai passed away on Sunday after having a severe head injury while avoiding off-street dogs. He got admitted to Shalby Hospital in Ahmedabad and later transferred to Zydus Hospital. The hospital’s diagnosis revealed a bilateral frontal hematoma and an acute subdural hematoma. The hospital’s statement stated that there were no bite marks on his body when he got admitted.

The Wagh Bakri Group expressed regret for the untimely passing of Desai, who graduated with an MBA from Long Island University in New York, USA. Desai, the company’s managing director’s son, started working there in 1995 and transformed the business from a 100 crore company to a 2000 crore behemoth. The company’s Instagram post expressed “sorrow for the loss of an admired entrepreneur.”

Hospital’s statement on Parag Desai Death

On October 15, while strolling near his Ahmedabad, Gujarat, home, Parag Desai suffered a severe head injury. His initial hospitalization was at Ahmedabad’s Shalby Hospital.

Hospital management: There were no dog bite marks on Parag’s body

Executive Director Parag Desai of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group received medical attention in a hospital in Gujarat, and the facility disclosed there were no bite marks on his body when he arrived for treatment on October 15. Desai, the group’s scion whose annual revenue was $2,000,000,000 last year, died on Sunday, a few days after he suffered an injury warding off street dogs.

He suffered a severe head injury on October 15 while strolling close to his home in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He got initially admitted to Shalby Hospital in Ahmedabad. After a day, he got transferred to the city’s Zydus Hospital. The 49-year-old Desai passed away, leaving behind his daughter and wife.

Shalby Hospital’s statement

There were no bite marks on him, according to the Shalby Hospital. “He arrived at the hospital’s emergency room unconscious and unresponsive,” according to a statement. However, there didn’t appear to be any dog bite marks on his body, the report stated. “It appears that the victim collapsed after getting chased by dogs.”
“He had a bilateral frontal hematoma and an acute subdural hematoma,” according to the hospital’s diagnosis. At the relatives’ request, he got discharged from treatment.
