According to Gourav Vallabh, Gadkari opposes the Congress’ plan to strike Dr. Hedgewar and Swatantra Veer Savarkar’s chapters from the Karnataka school curriculum.

Since PM Modi and Amit Shah dislike him, Nitin Gadkari is attempting to appease them by saying this, he claimed.

The spokesperson for the Congress stated, “There are two opposing perspectives in this country. The Karnataka government removed the right-wing ideologues from the state school curriculum. We think that students in India and Karnataka should study the ideologies of (BR) Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Mahatma Gandhi rather than KB Hedgewar and Veer Savarkar. We reject the ideology that portrays Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi, as a freedom fighter.”

Gadkari calls the Karnataka administration’s decision “unfortunate”

Gadkari criticized the Karnataka government’s plan to update the State’s textbooks on Saturday, calling it “unfortunate” that they had removed the sections on Dr. Hedgewar and Swatantra Veer Savarkar. He was speaking to a crowd at the VD Savarkar book launch event.

The omission of the Dr. Hedgewar and Swatantra Veer Savarkar chapters from the school curriculum is regrettable. Nothing is more agonizing than this, according to Gadkari on Saturday.

Karnataka Cabinet revised the curriculum of Kannada and Social Science textbooks

His comments follow the Karnataka cabinet’s approval on Thursday of the revision of Kannada and Social Science textbooks for grades 6 through 10 in public schools, which included the deletion of chapters on RSS founder KB Hedgewar and Hindutva ideologist VD Savarkar, among others.
