“The events went wrong for me, which made things tough going into the Olympic qualification year. Therefore, this victory will greatly increase my confidence,” Sen told PTI following the victory.

The ace shuttler said, “I had to delve far in certain contests. The circumstances were distinct, and becoming familiar with it was crucial.”

Sen battled back in the second game after falling behind by four game points, demonstrating his tenacity and poise in the process. He took advantage of his initial chance to score the winning point and ended the anxious match with a strong smash. He collapsed onto the court in jubilation, overcome with relief and joy.
