KARNATAKA ELECTIONS: NEARLY 52.03 PERCENT VOTER TURNOUT TILL 3 PM


In the Karnataka Assembly elections held on Wednesday, first-time voters and the elderly made a notable impact by actively participating in the voting process. Their enthusiasm was evident, and their numbers were significant. According to officials from the Election Commission (EC), a considerable 11.71 lakh individuals were eligible to cast their votes for the first time.

Following an intense election campaign, Karnataka is prepared for a significant electoral showdown. The voting process for the state’s 224 assembly constituencies commenced at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm. Across 58,545 polling stations throughout the state, a total of 5,31,33,054 eligible voters have the opportunity to cast their votes. The primary political parties competing for power include the BJP, Congress, and JD(S). To secure a majority and establish the government, a minimum of 113 seats is required.
