Israel Palestine War| Israel Diplomat : “We would appreciate India’s assistance…”

Israel’s ambassador, Naor Gilon, stated that his country welcomes any help from India for the release of over 200 people held hostage by Hamas as the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization continues. Gilon expressed his country’s gratitude for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for Israel following the war-starting strikes by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people. Gilon emphasized India’s unique position in the world and expressed hope that India could communicate with world powers to pressure Hamas to secure the safety of defenseless civilians. Israel has agreed to provide little humanitarian aid to Gaza during President Joe Biden’s visit, with a few trucks permitted to pass through the closed Rafah crossing.

Naor Gilon said that Israel welcomes any help from India

Israel’s ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, said on Wednesday that his country applauds any assistance from India in helping to free the more than 200 hostages held by Hamas as the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization enters its 13th day.

Gilon: They felt touched by PM Narendra Modi’s support for Israel

The Israeli ambassador claimed that they felt touched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s motion of support for Israel in the wake of the war-starting strikes by Hamas that ended in the deaths of over 1,400 people.

“After speaking with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few days later, PM Modi once more expressed solidarity. Not just the Indian PM, but officials, ministers, civil society, and even social media users have shown their support for us,” he told the news agency.

Naor Gilon’s statement

“Hamas leaders enjoy a high standard of living in areas like Istanbul and Qatar. We recognize that India occupies a unique position in the world. Many nations are attempting to pressure Hamas to secure the safety of defenseless civilians. We would be happy if India could communicate with those who can affect them,” Gilon said.

He stated that “we would applaud that” if there was a way to convince the major world powers to put stress on Hamas and if India could reach out to the leaders who exercise authority over Hamas to secure the release of more than 200 Israeli hostages, including some foreign nationals.

Israel agreed to send little humanitarian aid to Gaza

US President Joe Biden announced that Israel agreed to provide Gaza with little humanitarian assistance during his visit to the country. After lengthy telephone negotiations with Egypt and face-to-face negotiations in Israel, Biden announced that starting on Friday, a small number of trucks would get permitted to pass through the closed Rafah crossing from Egypt into Gaza.
