G-20 Summit: US President Biden will travel to India

The G-20’s members alternate holding the group’s presidency, with South Africa hosting it after Brazil.

US President Biden is coming to India for the G-20 Summit

Global leaders like the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Germany’s Olaf Scholz, China’s President Xi Jinping, and France’s President Emmanuel Macron are planning to attend the summit.

“US President Joe Biden will visit New Delhi for the G20 Leaders’ Summit from September 7 to 10,” according to the White House.

President Biden and G20 leaders will address the world’s problems

“President Biden and G20 partners will speak on several joint initiatives to address global problems. These include the clean energy transition & combating climate change, and reducing the economy. They also discuss the social effects of Putin’s war in Ukraine and enhancing the ability of multilateral development banks, including the World Bank, to more effectively fight poverty, among other things, by addressing global challenges,” the press statement stated.

The press statement also added, “In addition to praising Prime Minister Modi’s G20 leadership in New Delhi, President Biden will reiterate America’s dedication to the G20 as the foremost platform for economic partnership, including by hosting it in 2026.”

About Ukraine issue

There will probably be a debate at the summit about the conflict in Ukraine. While China and Russia objected to the highlight of Ukraine at a forum like the G20 that primarily focuses on economic issues, Western nations and their allies are insisting on putting it as a top priority.

“The pinnacle of all G20 handles and conferences grasped during the year between leaders, top government officials, and civil societies will be the 18th Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi.
