Cyclone Biparjoy began to hinder daily life

He also stated that Dornier and ALH are conducting operations before the cyclone’s arrival.

The CM of Gujarat spoke with PM Modi

Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, claimed that he and Prime Minister Modi spoke on the phone about the situation and state of preparation for the cyclone. The CM added that the PM promised to support Gujarat in every way.

IMD issued a Yellow alert in Kerala

Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, said in a statement that Cyclone Biparjoy, which is currently over the central-eastern Arabian Sea, will likely bring heavy rain to his state in the coming days.

Heavy rains are expected in Kerala, prompting a yellow alert.

Cyclone Biparjoy may bring rain to Mumbai

According to the most recent forecast from IMD, Mumbai should expect a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light to moderate rain or thundershowers in the city and suburbs today. Strong winds that occasionally reach 45 to 55 kmph are also very likely, and hot and muggy conditions are also probable in the city and suburbs.

Current position of Cyclone Biparjoy

The “extremely catastrophic cyclonic storm” was located in the northeast and east-central Arabian Sea at 2:30 am, about 290 km southwest of Porbandar and 360 km south-southwest of Jakhau Port, the IMD stated. By the evening on June 15, the cyclone, according to the IMD, will pass through Saurashtra and Kutch close to Jakhau Port.
