Surya’s hurricane smashed the Wankhede as he and Nehal Wadhera (52 not out) breezed through the 200 chases. Surya and Nehal put on a scorching 140-run third-wicket stand-off in just 66 balls to destroy the visitors, taking the Bangalore bowlers to task on a batting masterpiece.

After being put into bat by Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bangalore reached 199 for five thanks to the fourth-century stand of the season between Faf du Plessis (65 off 41) and Glenn Maxwell (68 off 33).

Suryakumar put forth a sensational performance, scoring at a strike rate of over 237 and hitting six sixes and seven fours.

Promoted to No. 4, Wadhera went on to score his second fifty of the year after being dropped on 16 by Wanindu Hasaranga (2/53). To reach 52 not out of 34 balls, the left-handed batter hit four fours and three sixes.

With just 26 balls, Suryakumar scored his third fifty of the Wankhede and fourth overall.

Faf Du Plessis holds the Orange Cap

With 576 runs scored in 11 games at an average of 64, Du Plessis increased his lead atop the list of players with the most runs this season.
