The claims in Randeep Hooda’s “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” are refuted by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew

On the occasion of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s 140th birthday, Randeep Hooda released the first teaser for his upcoming film, “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” which will mark his directorial debut.

Don’t change the past, advised Chandra Kumar Bose

The historical community, as well as the Bose family, appear to be annoyed by the different assertions made in the teaser trailer. The late freedom fighter’s grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose, attacked the director on Twitter for “distorting” the past. “I apologize, but Subhas Chandra Bose had been the nation’s most wanted revolutionary and commander. Bose and other revolutionary leaders like Bhagat Singh and Khudiram Bose were allegedly “motivated” by Savarkar, according to Hooda’s film. In a recent interview, Bose strongly refuted the exaggerated claims made in the movie, claiming that his granduncle was motivated by both Deshbandhu Chitranjan Das, his political mentor, and Swami Vivekananda, his spiritual guide.
