Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are willing to engage in a cage match at any time, according to the CEO of Meta, but the Twitter founder is yet to reply to a request for a date. Mark, who is somewhat of a trained jiu-jitsu champion, added that he suggests August 26 as the fight date. And now, Musk addressed his comments and explained the rationale for his decision to hold the date. The Tesla CEO claims that to compete against Zuck, he might need surgery first.

When a Twitter (Now X) user revealed a tweet from Threads in which Mark claimed the fight’s date as August 26, Musk reacted that he must first get his MRI because he could require surgery. “The precise date is still pending. Tomorrow, I’ll have an MRI of my neck and upper back. Before a battle can occur, surgery might be necessary. Will learn this week,” tweeted Musk.

When Elon reacted to the news that Meta planned to launch Threads, a Twitter rival, rumors of a fight between Musk and Zuckerberg first surfaced. Musk tweeted his reaction to the Threads news, “I’m confident Earth is eager to be solely under Zuck’s fingers with no other choices. The outcome will certainly be “sane.” For a brief moment, I was concerned.”

Musk said he is up for a “cage match” with his tech industry rival after a user cautioned him to exercise caution because Zuckerberg is now sort of a jiu-jitsu champion. Mark Zuckerberg wrote in his Instagram story in response to Elon Musk’s tweet that he was “up for a cage match” and that Musk should send him his location. The Meta CEO shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the message, “Send me location.”
